Frassle doesn't have Atom support, yet. I'm planning on adding it to the aggregator, but not to add publishing in Atom. (I see no benefit to offering another output format.)
I'm not sure what you mean by separating your posts from syndicated posts. Syndicated stuff is viewable under the aggregator. Only your posts are displayed in other places. Is there a place where they are blended that isn't clear?

Don't forget to thank your sysadmins today! What they do normally doesn't get any attention until something goes wrong. Buck the trend and go tell them how happy you are that they've been able to prevent all the Rube Goldberg machinery that powers your business from collapsing in an enormous steaming heap.
Note: I'm not trying to get frassle users to thank me. Instead of thanking me, keep using frassle and helping me find and fix bugs and confusing bits.

Lisa wants to invite local software makers and blogging luminaries. She characterizes it as part of an all-encompassing quest for schwag, but truly her intentions are more noble. She wants to use this group to get at new knowledge. She mentioned a book called Regional Advantage, which compares the tech successes of Boston's Rt 128 corridor and Silicon Valley.
Josh brought up this question, and thinks we need a clearer purpose in order to avoid getting lost without a leader. Some possibilities:
- blog enable the 7th congressional district election (Lisa)
- bring in more nerds
- bring in newbie bloggers and teach them
- bring in blogging luminaries (Rebecca and David Weinberger can help here)
- Crazy ideas for people: Bono, Scoble, (god help us for these two possibilities), Ethan Zuckerman, David Weinberger, Howard Dean, Margaret Cho, Jennifer Weiner, Kos, Moby, Lessig, Cosmo Massero, Dave Barry, Dan Kennedy from the Phoenix, folks from MoveOn, or TrueMajority, Joi Ito, techdirt, FuckedCompany, Kevin Marks, Bryan Briggs of BBSpot, Chris Pirillo, Cameron Marlowe, Ben and Mena Trott, etc. To be continued on the list. (Addendum: Jeneane Garofalo.)
The question in my mind is, how do we get people to step up and take more of a personal stake in these issues? It's too easy for me to just assume that someone else will provide interesting stuff to talk about or recruit new members. I'll try to think about this if I don't convince myself that someone else is.
Then I gave a fairly long demonstration of frassle. Lisa seemed intrigued by the publisher's javascript syndication features. Time to go to dinner (Cambrige Common)!

Maybe I can reawaken the Russian-speaking parts of my brain just by listening to lots of mediocre Russian music?

I'm taking a trip to visit my family in Cincinnati in a couple of weeks. Flight plan:
- Fri 13-Aug-04: BOS -> CVG, 7:25 pm — 9:41 pm
- Sun 15-Aug-04 CVG -> BOS, 6:55 pm — 8:59 pm
I look forward to seeing the mom, the grandmothers, the dog, the cats, and a few friends who happen to be in town.

I have been intending for some time to tell interaction designer Robin Good about frassle. His writing has been right up frassle's alley—making mutually-beneficial order out of selfish chaos and such. I guess he went and found it on his own, and has excerpted some of the documentation on his blog. Thanks to his link, we have a few new users. To whom I say, welcome!
But I must also say that frassle is an ongoing experiment, not a finished product. It's written mostly by me and my friend Josh in our spare time. So while the writing is ambitious, the actual product isn't there. Yet. Still, I invite your comments and suggestions. Progress is made every day that someone uses frassle, contributes a bug report, or reads what little documentation we've provided. Thank you all!

There have been a few outages in frassle service this afternoon. I hope things have straightened out. If you find frassle not working, contact me on IM at shimonrura or by phone or email.

Funny, I was almost ready to sit down and write a module to do exactly this.
