Rather than renting DVDs to you, the Peerflix company facilitates trades among members. Brilliant.

Plakaty.ru has a huge selection of images of Russian posters, including some cool historical ones from films, advertisements, and propoganda. I really like this one for Brilliantovaya Ruka (The Diamond Arm), a comedy filmed in 1968 that my grandmother used to show me. It turns out Brilliantovaya Ruka is a still-popular classic of Soviet film, with a variety of sites offering such things as a collection of sound bites and a mobile phone ring tone. You can also buy it on DVD from Amazon.
